In some occasions, the McAfee security software will allow to install Phoranso on your PC, but will subsequently remove it from your PC when you first try to run Phoranso. This happens because McAfee erroneously assumes that Phoranso contains a virus.
Fortunately, there's an easy work-around that allows you to mark Phoranso as safe and to run it successfully.
- Load the McAfee software. It shows following window:
- Select Settings in the upper right corner of the window, which opens following window:
- Select the Real-Time Scanning option, resulting in following window:
- It contains an Excluded Files section. Click the Add file button. It opens a file selector. Navigate to where you have installed Phoranso (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Phoranso) and select the Phoranso.exe file. Click Open and you will be returned to the McAfee window where you will see Phoranso in the list of excluded files. Phoranso will now run properly.
