The ALCDEF (Asteroid Lightcurve Data Exchange Format1) is a standardized format for reporting and exchanging asteroid photometry data. It includes raw time-series data and metadata, that describe critical information so that any researcher can use the data correctly in his own investigations.

There's also an extensive Asteroid Lightcurve Photometry Database from where you can publically download light curves of thousands of asteroids in the ALCDEF format. Peranso subsequently allows to directly import ALCDEF files, as explained in Tutorial 19.

1Peranso uses data obtained from the Asteroid Lightcurve Data Exchange Format (ALCDEF) database, which is supported by funding from NASA grant 80NSSC18K0851.
